Terms of service

1. These terms

By booking a service with Iron On Wheels you agree to these terms. Please read them before you place an order. If anything here is unclear, ask us before booking rather than after.

2. What we provide

We provide professional ironing and pressing for garments, bulk and corporate ironing on contract, and our Ready-to-Wear Saree preparation service.

We do not wash, dry clean or launder garments. Items must reach us clean and dry. If an item arrives soiled or damp, we will contact you and return it unpressed rather than press it.

3. Booking and collection

• Time slots are subject to availability and are confirmed when we accept your booking.
• Someone must be available at the address to hand over and receive the garments.
• Item counts are recorded on a digital receipt at collection and confirmed by you. That confirmed count is what we bill.
• If nobody is available at the agreed slot, we will attempt to reschedule once; repeated failed attempts may attract a visit charge.

4. Pricing and payment

• Charges follow the rate card published on this website at the time you book.
• Our minimum order value is ₹149. Orders below this are billed at the minimum.
• Express and event-rush handling attract a surcharge, quoted before we collect.
• Payment is due on delivery unless you have paid online in advance or hold a credit arrangement under a bulk contract.
• Bulk and corporate work is billed against the agreed contract rate card and payment terms.

5. Turnaround

Standard ironing is returned within 24 hours of collection; Ready-to-Wear Saree orders within 24 to 48 hours. Turnaround windows are commitments we work hard to hold, but they may be affected by events outside our control — severe weather, civic disruption, public holidays or equipment failure. Where a window will be missed we will tell you as early as we can.

6. Garment care and liability

• We handle garments with professional care and press at temperatures matched to fabric.
• Pre-existing damage, weak seams or fragile embellishment found at sorting will be photographed and reported to you before we proceed.
• Please tell us at booking about any item that needs special handling.
• Where damage is caused by us, our liability is limited to ten times the ironing charge for that item, or its depreciated value, whichever is lower.
• Claims must be raised within 24 hours of delivery, with the item unworn and unwashed since.
• We are not liable for items left in pockets, or for colour bleeding, shrinkage or damage arising from a manufacturing defect or prior treatment.

7. Uncollected items

Where delivery cannot be completed, we store garments for 30 days and make reasonable attempts to contact you. After 90 days uncollected items may be disposed of, and charges already incurred remain payable.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule free of charge any time before our collection staff has been dispatched. Once garments have been collected and processing has begun, the order cannot be cancelled and the full charge applies.

9. Bulk and corporate contracts

Bulk arrangements are governed by the signed rate card and service-level agreement between us. Where those documents conflict with these terms, the signed contract prevails.

10. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate address and contact details.
• Check pockets before handing over garments.
• Tell us about delicate, valuable or specially treated items.
• Inspect your order on delivery and raise any issue within 24 hours.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place an order is the version that governs that order.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kochi, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
